That's right! Doris is as good as it gets!  I've had the pleasure of taking sewing lessons from Doris for eight months. In that time I've learned how to make several items. We started out with a simple pillowcase and even made a kayak seat cover. I love walking into my kitchen and seeing the curtains Doris taught me how to make. I have made curtains for two more rooms since.
Doris is positive, encouraging and cheerful.  She's always nearby to answer any questions you may have.  Recently I sewed a zipper & lining into a bag that I'd crocheted.  Although it's been some time since I took lessons, Doris's voice was in my head guiding me. 
I highly recommend Doris.  She's an excellent teacher.  It was always fun &  we shared many laughs!  Give her a call, you will be pleased.

I highly recommend Doris.  She knows everything about sewing and is flexible in terms of using your time in class to help finish projects if you are stuck, teach you how to make alterations, and help you make something that fits perfectly.  She helped me make a lined jacket that I get compliments on every time I wear it.  Doris is also a wonderful person and if I still lived in the area I would be taking classes with her.

Doris is an outstanding human being!  She gives more than sewing instruction; she gives of herself.  She has a knack for understanding an individual's unique learning style and always exhibits acceptance of each individual person.  She taught my daughter how to sew for 3 years, and has been an an instructor, a confidant, a friend, a reference, and an inspiration.  She will give more to you than you could ever give back to her.  Now, lets talk about sewing!  My daughter started with easy things like pajama pants, a clutch bag, pillows, and then eventually had the skills to make a really cool jacket out of tapestry material.  We call it her Sargent Pepper Jacket.  It is so cool, one-of-a-kind,and an item that my daughter takes pride in.  Although my daughter has moved along in her life with many other endeavors, she, and I, will always be thankful for the instruction, time, and consideration Doris gave.  This is just how it is with her!  You'd be fortunate to have her for an instructor!

Doris is an awesome teacher and I'm so glad that I found her card at my local fabric store.  She is extremely knowledgable in making all kinds of things from clothing to bags and even interior items like pillows, etc.  With her wealth of knowledge combined with her patience and all around fantastic attitude I can't imagine going anywhere else for sewing support and lessons.  Whether you are brand new or just need a refresher lesson, you can't go wrong with Doris and Sew Right Every Time.

My Daughter has been taking lessons for over 2 years and I have also taken lessons from Doris.  She is an amazing sewing teacher and a wonderful and diplomatic person for my daughter to have the opportunity to learn with! Doris is excellent. Her many years of experience in school teaching definitely shows in the way she goes about showing a beginner the step by step process of how to approach the sewing machine by demonstrating and then allowing you the chance to test it out yourself. MY DAUGHTER LOVES SEWING WITH DORIS!!!!! She is so patient, kind, and has a wonderful demeanor that makes it enjoyable to learn. My daughter started sewing with Doris when  she was just eight years old.  Doris would set goals for my daughter to work towards and worked on projects that were engaging and age appropriate. They have made different types of projects such as  pillow cases, pillows, pajama pants,  stuffed animals, a fabric case to store Barbie doll clothes, reversible golf ball bag (for Father's day....so sweet) just to name a few. Doris is the best sewing teacher! She is patient with understanding each student's learning style.  Also, her sewing skills are outstanding!.
